The new Kent Law Campaign Student Committee held their first event on Thursday 3rd October which was a quiz in Mungos, Eliot College.
The questions in the quiz were devised by our Chair (Emily) and our Fundraising Officer (Shanice) and delivered to the students by our Quizmaster, the lovely Dan Malynn (Vice Chair of the Young Alumni Group).

After a tough couple of hours, the team that emerged victorious were Impact Whey – winning by half a mark! Each team member won a £10 Blackwells Voucher kindly donated by Kent Law School.

To brighten up the moods of the remaining teams we moved onto the raffle and awarded: a Lush Face-Pack Session for five people (worth £100), a Nandos meal for two voucher, and a bottle of wine to three lucky winners.

After the raffle there was one last chance to grab a prize: Guess the name of the bear.
The bear in question was donated by our very own Sharlott Yum (Communications Officer), and the quiz-goers had to guess the name which the committee had given it earlier that week. The correct answer was Dudley and he now has a new home!

The night was definitely a success and the committee raised a total of more than £140 which is outstanding!

The whole committee is so proud of their first event and really could not have done it if it wasn’t for the kind help from:
– Anna Pollard and other staff in the Development Office
– Steph Harris and other staff in the Kent Law School
– Lush, Nandos and Blackwells for their kind raffle donations
– and not forgetting everyone who came along to join in and help us raise as much money as we did – thank you!
